PokerStars’ 2012 Spring Championship Of Online Poker was an amazing success and broke two prestigious records, including the richest online tournament series ever and the highest participation in a major PokerStars event. The series paid out $65,332,179 spread out over 40 events and 120 tournaments, which was a little more then a million over the previous best set during the 2010 SCOOP. There were 526,154 total entries, which bested the previous high of 461,936, also set during the 2010 SCOOP.

Shaun Deeb was the most outstanding player of the series by earning his fifth lifetime SCOOP event title – four of which he won this year alone! Although he didn’t bring home the largest pay check of the series, he still amassed over $230,000 in winnings and has an insurmountable lead on the overall leader boards. That accomplishment will earn him an EPT 2013 Grand Final Package and a PCA 2013 Package, to go along with his 4 new personalized SCOOP Champion watches.
