After a frustrating all-be-it successful run at the 2011 WSOP, where he had three second place finishes, Phil Hellmuth has finally won his 12th bracelet after winning the $2,500 Razz event. He defeated a tough final table that included the likes of Barry Greenstein, Brandon Cantu, Scoot Fishman and Michael Chow. In honour of his 12th record breaking WSOP title win, Hellmuth’s eldest son Phillip the third presented him with the bracelet at the award ceremony.

Phil Ivey came very close to winning his 9th bracelet but fell short of that goal after losing the head’s-up battle in the $10k Pot Limit Hold’em event to Andy Frankenberger. It was another stacked final table with Shaun Deeb, Ali Eslami, Matt Marafioti and Hoyt Corkins also making an appearance.
