After Day 1C produced a record breaking number of entrants for a single day, 2,300 players would be left to play Day 2C. When the dust settled at the end of the day, 911 players would remain. Those players will merge with the 842 players from Day 2A/B to create a field of 1,753 players for Day 3.

Sam Trickett, who already earned $10 million for a second place finish in the ONEDROP event, managed to accumulate 352,600 chips – good enough for 15th place overall for the day. Other notable players making a run for the final table include Jake Cody (18th – 322,000 chips), Ben Lamb (36th – 271,000 chips), Marvin Rettenmaier (73rd – 227,000 chips), Antonio Esfandiari (100th – 205,300 chips), Johnny Chan (116th – 194,400 chips), Eoghan O’Dea (118th – 193,000 chips), Phil Galfond (175th – 166,100 chips), John Juanda (194th – 159,000 chips), Chris Moorman (404th – 103,900 chips), Sorel Mizzi (482nd – 91,800 chips) and Brad Booth (822nd – 33,700 chips).

Among those getting eliminated were Viktor Blom, Matt Affleck, Melanie Weisner, Gus Hansen, Jason Alexander, Michael Mizrachi, Tom Marchese and Phil Ivey.
