The second of three starting  days had a field of 2,114 players with 1,387 surviving to see Day 2. That brings the total up to 3,180 players so far and will need at least 3,686 more players for Day 1C in order to surpass the 6,865 players from 2011.

Day 2 saw a much higher concentration of elite players and many of them survived with healthy stacks. Shaun Deeb, Eugene Katchalov, Barry Greenstein, Sammy Farha, Daniel Negreanu and Liv Boeree all finished with stacks larger then the average. Vanessa Selbst had an extraordinarily good day and ended the day in 3rd place.
