So I was thinking, are there similar bidding strategies in auctions and poker? Let us analyze a few common poker player strategies:

Aggressive: When players go ‘all in’ frequently, in order to scare the other players, they run an aggressive poker style. It’s very similar in penny auctions. Players classified as aggressive, never stop bidding.

Bluffing: It’s part of the game to bluff in poker, while it’s way harder to bluff in auctions.

Position: Players taking positions early are common both in poker and auctions. In fact, it tend to be an even more successful strategy in penny auctions.

I hear many of my friends are trying out BidOnCash with great results. Seems like some are winning more on the online auction site BidOnCash then they do on poker. So how come this new skill game (?) has become so popular?

Why do BidOnCash attract poker players?

I think there are a few reasons why Bidoncash.com have become so popular as an alternative to poker. Here are some of the reasons I could figure out:

Trilling: It’s a exciting game. Auction bids are running 24/7 and often updated several times every minute.

Fun: It’s fun to play on BidOnCash – and totally different from poker.

Break from poker: If you’ve been playing poker for 5-10 hours, it can be good to take a break.

You can make money instantly, just like in poker.

So why don’t you try it out also and tell me what you think..

Passive
A passive poker player do not act very much on the poker table. He will not raise, unless he have a very good hand. Such a player are often scared to even call a flush.

Aggressive
Meaning that the poker player often raise and gamble, tend to fulfill his initial plan. Phil Ivey are often considered as an aggressive player.

Lose
A lose poker player can be either lose-tight or lose-aggressive.

Tight
